Crafty Gifts

You will need:

- Clear glass marbles or small glass stones. Must be see-through.
- Strong clear-drying glue/sealer (such as silicone)
- Small magnets the same size as the marbles
- Cut-out magazine pictures or patterns the same size as the magnets (try to avoid white backgrounds on the pictures)
- popsicle sticks or toothpicks for glue handling

Use the magnet to outline small cool pictures. Cut them out carefully.  Using the popsicle stick or toothpick spread a TINY amount of glue on the back of the picture cut-out and place on the magnet.  Now place a small amount of glue (slightly less than a pea size) on top of the picture. Squish and smoosh your glass marble onto the picture and glue, trying to make sure you haven’t left a bubble showing in the glue.  Carefully wipe off any glue that gloops out the side with a popsicle stick or toothpick. Do not use your fingers!  Leave to dry. The glue will say how long it needs to dry, so use that amount of time. Assemble small groups of magnets into an empty tin mint container, or just put them in a small box.  Very handy and fashionable!

You will need:

- Ceramic Tiles from the local home improvement store.  6” x 6” or bigger. You can also use cork.
- Hot Glue Gun (and an adult to help with it)
- Felt, cut to fit the tile

Simply use the hot glue gun to stick the felt to the bottom of the tile!  Make sure that the edges of the felt are attached and not floppy.  All done
